Difference between ASTM F2100-19 and EN 14683:2019 Barrier Levels

The standard specification of both ASTM F200-19 and EN 14683:2019 Barrier Levels are placed into comparison by Nelson Labs Medical Face Mask Tests and Requirements. 

Wistech Surgical Masks are EN 14683:2019 Type II and have the BFE of more than 98%, which is similar to masks that are of ASTM F200-19 Level 2 (Barrier Testing BFE).

  • Has the manufacturer’s name printed on its packaging.
  • Has a bacterial filtration efficiency of 95% or higher.
  • Carries an expiry date on its packaging.
  • Does not contain materials that you are allergic to.
  • Provides a good fit.
